Hiya! My name is Alana Matthew. I’m a 2021 Summer Intern for the Boafo Beauty Blog!
I’m a freelance writer born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I’m a journalistic Promethean who specializes in blog writing, social media content creation, and more. I’m a high school senior at Brooklyn College Academy to matriculate to Howard University. There I will be working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and double minoring in Political Science and Marketing.
I’ve been a freelance writer for about 2 years based in New York. I’m also the founder and EIC of LanaSpeaks, my own blog, where we discuss the hardships of coming to age as well as share the controversies of living in the US. I’ve collaborated with 2 Councilmembers on their team to create newsletters and advise them about their social media presence. I also currently co-write the newsletter for First Baptist Church of Crown Heights and I've been a guest blogger as well.
I’m thrilled to be an intern for the Boafo Beauty Blog. All in all, my goal is to shine a light on beauty influencers shaking up the beauty industry, explore my personal creativity, and bring fresh perspectives to the Blog.
