I can't believe that my time as a Boafo Beauty writer is coming to an end! This has been an incredible experience, and you (hopefully!) won't be seeing the last of Sandra Prendergast in the beauty world!
Writing for Boafo Beauty was an incredible experience this summer. I got to let my creativity shine, as well as be able to play with makeup and branch out of my comfort zone to write about the content I normally never would write about.
Going into this internship, I was a writer who only had experience writing poetry, creative fiction, and experience editing business articles. Now, I am leaving with experience and knowledge about the blogging, makeup, and content creation world. Learning about how a website works, publishing a blog, and creating a portfolio for myself were vital skills to learn when wanting to branch into the creative world.
What's Next?
I leave this internship feeling both sad and excited. I am going to miss writing for Boafo Beauty, but now I know that being a beauty writer is something that I really enjoyed and want to be able to explore further after I graduate from college next spring.
I will return to Mount Holyoke College this fall to finish out my last year and then enter the workforce. I can’t wait to see where the next few years take me–and who knows? Maybe you’ll be seeing me writing beauty articles in the future. Thank you again for following my content this summer!
