Now that the Innagural Boafo Beauty Blog Internship has come to a close, Natasha Cornelissen gives her final remarks as a 2021 summer writing intern for Boafo Beauty, as well as what's next for her.
These past two months have gone by so quickly, I almost feel like I imagined them. As a Boafo Beauty intern, I have had the opportunity to create unique, individualized content that expresses my personal style and interests. More importantly, I was able to do so alongside a team of amazing team leaders and writers that have supported me throughout this time.
As a writing or journalism intern, you don't always get to choose what you write about. Without a doubt, this has been my most enjoyable professional experience so far! With the freedom to pitch topics that I actually had an interest in, I have built upon my portfolio with works that are expressive and creative.
Thank you to Nelly, our founder, and our editor-in-chief, Michael, for always being so accommodating and understanding of my circumstances. It has been so special to work under such truly wonderful management and I will cherish this opportunity forever.
Goodbyes are always hard for me, and this one is especially bittersweet. Hopefully, I can occasionally publish more articles in the future, as I definitely haven't run out of ideas. If you have been looking to earn writing experience through a laidback and fun setting, I recommend you join Boafo Beauty's team!
Finally, thank you to anyone who has clicked on an article of mine and given it a read. It makes me so happy to release work into the world for others to enjoy!
