Here's how to recreate this simple and easy neon graphic liner look. It's the perfect everyday makeup that combines a fresh, glowing base with an exciting pop of color!
Summer is my favorite season of the year, by far. I love the sunshine, the beach trips, and most of all, the carefree atmosphere it brings that influences me to express myself through a little more color.
The energy of this change of season inspired my everyday summer makeup look! I love this routine because it combines a super fun statement on the eyes with a simple, dewy foundation on the skin.
How to Create the Perfect Everyday Summer Makeup Look!
This liner is just as bright as the name suggests. It's water-activated, so to apply it, I dipped an angled liner brush in water and mixed it into the green compact. The water transforms the product into a smooth liquid liner that you can build in pigmentation and easily manipulate.
For this look, I brushed a warm brown eye shadow through my eye crease and under my bottom lash line for some definition. Then, I used my liner brush to paint on a sleek winged line with a cat-eye detail in the inner corner. The pigment dries quickly once it's applied and lasts throughout the entire day.
In the sun, this liner actually glows. The neon pigment in it is very bright, and under a blacklight, you'll see an even more shocking effect. In addition, the mascara gives my lashes some extra curl and length that complements the rest of the look perfectly.
During the heat of the Summer, I like a lightweight, light-coverage base that highlights my skin's natural color and sheen. Because of that, hydrating cream products are my go-to during the Summer months.
To prime my skin, I used Milk Makeup's Hydro Grip Primer, a hydrating gel primer that provides an extra dewy glow. Its tacky texture grips the rest of my makeup for all-day longevity. For a base, I went with Glossier's Perfecting Skin Tint, which gives my face an ultra-thin wash of color that evens out my skin tone for that barely-there coverage.
I also used Glossier's Stretch Concealer under my eyes and to conceal any imperfections. For some facial definition, I used Milk Makeup's Matte Bronzer on my temples, under my cheekbones, and below my jawline. The cream stick formula of the bronzer blends seamlessly and has a natural, sun-kissed color.
On the cheeks, I used Milk Makeup's Glow Oil, a shimmering lip and cheek tint that highlights the cheekbones beautifully. It also comes in a cream stick formula that I can swipe directly on my face and blend out with my fingertips.
I love a ton of glow on the skin, especially during the Summer, so I added Colourpop's Super Shock Highlighter in the shade Flexitarian to the high points of my face. Finally, to lock in all my cream products, I brushed on a light dusting of Too Faced's Peach Perfect Setting Powder - it really smells like peaches and cream!
To finish off this look, I combed Glossier's Boy Brow through my brows to fill in any sparse areas and hold them in shape throughout the day. Finally, I swiped Milk Makeup's KUSH Lip Balm on the lips for a sheer tint with a subtle golden shimmer.
I paired this look with a green tank top and some accessories to channel a simple, monochromatic theme. This look shined beautifully in the sunlight and stayed glowing and intact for hours. Best of all, you can complete the whole look in less than 20 minutes!
This makeup made me feel put-together and confident while still remaining cool in the Summer heat. The Boafo Beauty Water Activated Liners come in five shades - green, orange, yellow, pink, and white - so you can make statement liner looks in your favorite color or through a combination of several!
I use makeup as a form of self-expression. This everyday Summer makeup look allows me to show off my colorful personality and stand out in a crowd!
