Meet Make-up artist and creative Nina Alessi, one of the Summer 2021 Boafo Beauty Blog Writers!
Hi! I’m Nina, a Summer 2021 beauty blog intern for the Boafo Beauty Blog.
I just graduated with an Associates in Advertising and Marketing Communications at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, and I'll be continuing with a Bachelor's in Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing. I minor in both Psychology and Integrated Wellness, and I’m considering minoring in Ethics and Sustainability as well.
I am also a freelance Makeup Artist based in Staten Island, NY. I took a gap year before college and attended Robert Fiance Makeup Academy in New Jersey to become a certified Makeup Artist. I work with a good friend who’s an extremely talented photographer, and you can check out some of our work from my portfolio on my website!
I chose to write for Boafo Beauty because I am obsessed with all things beauty and would love to share my knowledge with others. I feel as though I have an abundant amount of knowledge in the beauty field that many can learn from. I also love that Nelly, the founder of Boafo Beauty, is someone within my age group, and started this brand while in college. She inspires me and acts as a role model for me. Launching my own cosmetics brand has been a dream of mine for a long time, and it looks less out of reach now that I was introduced to Boafo Beauty!
